Dear members - Let me get this straight. All bars and clubs close at 2am. Is this everywhere in Thailand (is BKK 2am or 1am)?
Does this early closing put a damper on the nightlife scene. Where does everyone go afterwards? I'm just afraid it won't be like old times when I was there 2 years ago.

Well...it's been in well over a year...and no sign it'll change....personally I like the 2am rule.....we need a bit of discipline....and it helps me get to work on time some days.

no, it is the entire country except pattaya as far as i know. at least pukhet, samui and other places shut down at 02:00 am too! seems the politicans have given up on pattaya and accept it as being the dump place of thailand!
