I am going to be in BKK from Oct 8th, and I gather the bars close at 1am (seems so strange bars should close at 1 in Bangkok, but there you go.)
Can anyone let me know any places around nana/soi cowboy/suk that are open later than 1 or 2am. When I was last there (1 yr) I know that SW in the cowboy was open late-night. Anyone know if it still is? (I know these things chane day to day.)
I realize people may be hesitant to post this info, so if you are willing please PM me. (I asked this question last year before going and can guarantee no leakage of info offered.)

You can get a drink 24 hours a day in Bkk. After the bars close, just head to Suk Road and sit at one of the numerous stall bars that seem to have become a fixture there lately (or where when I was there 6 weeks ago). It's street theatre at its best. Thousands of people, girls everywhere, freaks and weirdos.
Sad as it may seem, but one of my best nights in Bkk was sitting on a plastic table, talking to a couple of bargirls who had finished work for the night, until around 5am, watching the world go by.
How long these bars will be allowed to operate, though, is another matter altogether.

Also...if you hang out at Nana carpark after 2am...there will be a taxi or tuk tuk who will offer to take you to an "open" bar.....prices tend to be steep....but if you want to keep drinking.....Place I went even had girls there in a bit of a fishbowl setup.

those places are terrible tourist rip-offs! inflated prices with only soso girls! if you want a scene like that better head to the siam hotel coffee shop!

I didn't say they weren't....but I did say "if you want to keep drinking" and also "prices tend to be steep". I think Singha was about 300 baht.....but I wanted to keep drinking.....my choice....
Agree that there was a fair share of soso girls....but the one I hooked up with was far from soso....

There is one called the SD Club I think which stays open for long hours but the girls are average and the prices are high.
Taxi drivers all seem to know it.
Like Scobie will often be found across from the Landmark, Suk Rd. 'My Bar' a little wagon my favourite. Always a few nice looking girls willing to join you and the mother/daughter owners are real friendly. Beats any late night bar etc for me. A great deal of Nana/Cowboy girls head there after closing.

seems we have run to each other. I always stay at a little wagon with bar stools. also they do suki, french toast and some other food.
but it is not my bar. it has a short name, but I cant really remember it now, few bar or something...
