Tried ot out on the evening of Feb 23rd.
A few farangs hanging arround and a few FL's too. The funny thing was that after entering the card, the writing was all in Thai.
It was impossible for me to understand what was asked for. Tried three cards (that desperate) and various combinations.
Must have guessed it right in the end, because I got the cash (5000 Bht, 3K for girl, 500 for taxi to airport and 500 for dept tax), even got the card back.
Lot of hassle though.
The FL's at the nearby lamp pole and the covert FL's at the bus station next to Westin hotel, applauded.
I could have held and audition.
Maybe I will next time.
Useful machine in the area at any time of the day, but not Fallang fliendly.
Normal ploblem with ATM's in town?

Back in November I used one between Sukumvit Soi 13 and 15. Had no problems. Took out several thousand bhat and had the option of English or Thai.

The front screen is in English and Thai. From there on it was all thai as far as I am concerned. Not drunk, came from dinner with a good girl.

got to look carefully for the english option or it's trouble,
however even though it's in thai the numerals are in english 5000 !!!!

The ATM belongs to the Siam Commercial Bank and has an English menu option.
Although 5,000 is written as we know it, it might be a struggle for someone to go through the menus in Thai...

Try using the ATM "inside" Robinson. It's located near the shoe department at the top of the stair leading down to the supermarket and has English text available.

Brocher, good info - thanks. For the record, this was 21 Jan last month, not 21 Feb last yr, and it was at 22h00. Don't rember if Robinson is open then for the inside ATM.

Why not use the one outside of McDonalds. Hit it many times in November without any problems.
