Most foreigners are not familiar about all the clubs in Thaniya. I was also not aware what's happening there until several years ago, few of my Japan golf pals took me there. And many occasions when they have corporate parties, they also invite me to join the fun at the company cost.
There are several categories of clubs there. There are all so-called karaoke bars but some bars are more towards pick up and go out and some bars are more towards drink and hang around and play with ladies then go off. The more sex minded customers would go straight to these pick up bars and they look at the ladies in the lobby lounge and then can select a girl to talk for a brief drink or can pay bar straight out. Most places charge at least 1000 for pay bar. Some places may charge you up to 2000. It all depends on the store system. These more towards pick up quickly and go ST bars are such as Island, Paradise, Happiness, Ai, Arcadia, Araragi, Mermaid ect ect.
Other category is more towards sit, drink, play with ladies, then pay bar establishments. Most corporate customers tend to use this type for company entertainment. Some of them have sexy shows as well.
But drinking at these clubs are really costly but a big percent of customers here pay with company expenses.
Most Japanese corporates give chief managers monthly entertainment allowance for them to take foriegn and domestic clients for lady entertainment. These more of sit and drink then pay bar clubs are Sarasa, Marco Polo, Moulin Rouge, Rokumeikan, Kirara, ect ect.
Most western customers go as guests of the Japanese customers. Not many lone westerner venture into these clubs. Fisrt they might be told its private clubs. The management is afriad of trouble that the western customers do not know the charging system and may argue at the bill. Most places here you can open up bottles and save it for future use. But also can have a hour set, which is the minimum charge of a hour of about 800-1500 for sitting there to play with hostess. Of course the lady drinks and pay bar are extra. So I would think it's hard to explain most western customers that they sit and have a drink for a hour and the bill is over 1000 for a drink. So most management tend to avoid trouble by telling non-Japanese they are private clubs.
Whats inside these clubs. Its quite a lot of fun to select a few girls and take them to private karaoke rooms. Touching, kissing, even fingering are all allowed for a little tip. Most girls also willing to remove cloth and play around with customers. You can change girls but need to buy them lady drinks. Its a lot of fun to go with a small group and get a private room with a few girls to the room for private entertainment. Then the rules its the same, if you like a girl ask her. If she agrees then pay bar. The girls in Thaniya will ask you minimum 2000 to 5000 for ST. I just had a stunner from the Arcadia 2 days ago when my Japan golf pals took me and their German customers for some corporate fun. This Arcadia place is amazing if you go about 8PM. There are about 150 up girls sitting in rows in the looby lounge that will blow your mind away. You will have so much trouble who to pick for a little chat.
That night we picked about 15 girls for chatting and playing in the room all together. If you want to change just tell the one you don't want to go back and go to the looby lounge to get some more. I later picked a girl that is about near 10 on my list. I am a frequent customer at this Arcadia bar that all mamasans know me and really help me suggestions. I have also brought almost all my Dutch friends and some Swedish friends to Arcadia and some other bars in Thaniya, and once they know you, they are very very nice to you even you are Europeans.
So picked this particular girl out of over 100. She said she saw me before and she speak okay English for being a student at university. We went back to our private VIP room and I really touched her even fingered her and I think she got horny as well. So I pay bar her and took her to ST hotel in Surawong while my Japan friends and their German customers still playing with other girls in our room. One of the German guys was sucking pussy of another cutie when I left the karaoke for a quickie. I think we all had a good time at my Japanese friend's company cost. But I have to pay the sex fee myself of course. The young cutie asked me 2500 which is very reasonable for her quality. Very enjoable session with no-condom BJ. About the level of the girls. Thainiya has thousands of girls working there. So the average may not be too high. But if you go in some of the clubs early like 8-9PM, there are always stunners like on scale of 9. If you go and tell the store people you have been there before, I think they will not stop you and will not tell you its private club. But be ready to pay at least the set hour drink of 800 up minimun for one hour depents on the store. If they see you a few times, they will be very nice to you and treat you like VIP.
If you know the system of the game there, Thaniya can be a lot of fun, much more fun than soapie or gogo. A huge variety of choice and then you can build up the excitement with the girls little by little before final explosion.

best bit to know the reason why they don't want other nationalities; and that bears out all my experience; the issue isn't Japanese vs. non-Japanese; it is the risk of getting some cheapskate idiot.
I know one of the biggest pubs on RCA is trying to get rid of westerners from their pub for much the same reasons; however they don't have quite the confidence to say "private club"

I ventured into Arcadia club again without my Japan golf pals. I went there with a Swiss friend who was visiting Thailand and wanted to try something different. So I took him with me to Thaniya.
We went there quite early about 8PM and most girls just came in for work. And the lobby lounge was filled with about 120 girls that night as mamasan said. mamasan knows me so we started to check the girls and asked her for recommendation.

You spent about 9,000 baht, but only 300 for the ST hotel ? That sounds like first class experience in a 3rd class hotel. Is there a typo ?
