What can anyone tell me about this place? I am asking about the Bar which is atop the same building as Sirocco Restuarant.
When is the best time to go? How are the Birds? I already can imagine drinks cost more then a GoGo bar, so no need to comment on that.

Besides the higher floor indoor restaurant, there are four distinct portions at Sirrocco's level.
My fav is across the bar outside with the large couches ( "Distil" side as I understand). Only good when not too windy, towels and even glasses easily get flown off base up there... You half lay on the couches listening to cool music (ambient??),drink half decent cocktails and they will change those cocktails if you don't like them. Very relaxing except it attracts large groups who might invade the terrace for a few minutes and take pics all over it. Many foreign women, chatted up once a half hot israeli chick who unfortunately was on her way to the airport. Some thai actresses on last visit there among a big asian group. Quite a few 30+ western girls.

Inside it's sophisticated and pretty nice but you miss the view. On the other outdoor side there’s the restaurant part with a great view on BKK’s most modern districts than at the far corner the bar that changes colour. Cool to see it going from Red to Blue to purple (?) to whatever colour but the bar's busy and standing only. All those places are very crowded at the moment so not sure you’ll get the right space. Food is quite decent IMO, better than in Vertigo and a Jazz band is near for the ambience.
Not sure about the time, always nice IME if you get a good seat. They serve late and it’s less crowded then. Happened to get there around 11Pm and get a great table. Not sure about closing time, 1 or 2am?
I miss the place anyway… The Silom/Sathorn area hosts a whole bunch of nice upmarket clubs/restaurants, you should have a closer look there.
Lucky bastard anyway! Warm the seats!

at the end of silom road, on the corner.
one of the most stunning views I have seen anywhere in the world. from the circular sky bar you can see nearly the whole of bangkok and beyond.
drinks prices are very steep and low alcohol content but with this kind of view they are worth it.
go there when it is dark, so after 7. dress up. otherwise they will stop you already downstairs at the elevator.
no sandals, shorts etc.
