So, all the guys up and down Sukhumvit between Asok and Ploenchit, say, with their little photograph of girls that they stick in everyone's faces as we walk past: where do they take you, is it a good deal, or is it the rip off that it looks like? Anyone tried it? I'd love to know what your experience has been.

I suspect that you refer to the brochures of soapy places.
Of course, these girls are retired by now and is a method in getting you to visit that place and the guy gets a commission (out of your pocket).
I would say always stay clear of any of these touts.

Normally they will take you to Petchburi Road or thats what they imply. Where their friends will double the charge.
Not too difficult to toddle over there without using these touts though

So far, the two places they seem to be promoting via these touts are Cupidy and Halem, both on Petchburi Road. Cupidy is at the basement of the Plaza building.

And Halem is on Soi 41.... and it's probably one of the few (maybe the only one) which caters to Indian, Middle Eastern and Malaysian customers too.
