I'm looking for a hotel near Sukhumvit (low sois) with a swimming pool. I have stayed at the Woraburi - nice pool, hotel a little rundown. Royal Asia Lodge - forlorn pool, nice hotel. NanaTai Mansions - no great shakes. Any other? Around 1500 Baht max. Or can one pay to attend a hotel's pool as an outsider?

I saw on this particular thread that one can pay 180 Baht to use the Sheraton's pool. But, then another member says outsiders are not welcome. Not sure who is right. Not necessarily on the low sois either, but many people rave about it's pool. It was also said that the Marriot's facilities can be used for 500 Baht. http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/topic.cgi?forum=7&topic=1138

Omni Tower pool is very nice. Great sun, large pool with changing rooms. Soi 4 past old Brunswick Pool hall. I think for a one day fee of about 200THB they will let you in even if not a guest..... but not sure. Good hotel to stay at..... prices about 1800THB and up

About 2 years ago, I paid the Westin 3000 baht for rights to use the gym and pool for a period of 4 weeks. It is probably more than that now, but you could ask them. Just go right up to the workout room and ask them.

The new Dynasty Grande on Soi 6 has a nice enough pool, not huge but new and clean. However rates have now gone up to IIRC around the 2500+THB mark.

Nana hotel has a nice pool I read somwhere that it is new built or renovated has a very deep end and the other is very shallow its not that long but wide and has a waterfall in the end lots of wegetable on the side plenty of room for laying around in the sun. The new website http://www.nanahotel.co.th Nana hotel`s own website has good pictures over the pool area this is quite mutch how it looks like. But I would recomend the advise Fastmover gives furder on in the tread (I edited this post instead of making a new) that you check the pool Irl first. Itīs alot better than the pool at Nana Thai Manison where you have to whatch out for the electrical wire just outside the pool area

I have crashed the pools at the Westin and the Sheraton. Luckily, folks working here are non-confrontational, or maybe I blend in with the elite crowd that stays there.

Quite right. New and not to bad, can be very quiet, and also has a whirlpool bath on the side. Didn't find the water blasts strong enough to call it a jacuzzi. Reduced sun late in the day however. I always like to take a look at the pool area before I check in at a hotel I have not previously stayed at. Website and brochure pics make pools look like an ocean (with babes) when often its just a rainpuddle. And always call the hotel ahead. Pools are hard to maintain and often have 'mechanical' failure. Much like decorative fountains in front of buildings etc.
