Thats up to you bro. personally I always carry mine with me when I am traveling. of course I use mine a lot, never had a problem leaving it in my room when I went outside. of course there is a first time for everything.

Is it possible to do what? Use your laptop to connect to the Internet? Sure. If the hotel you are staying in doesn't have access then take your laptop to an Internet Cafe and ask them if you can plug it in. They shouldn't care whether you use their computers or yours as long as you pay. At least I've never had problems walking and connecting. Usually I don't even ask, I just unplug theirs and plug in mine and then when I'm done, make sure theirs is connected back and working again. A baht's a baht.

I think most hotels have connections in the room just for that purpose.Last time I was there, stayed at Majestic, used my laptop in my room, connected to the internet. you will need to get a dial up card, to log on with. you can check with a book shop, I know they sell them.

There's fast internet all over and cheap in BKK. Does your hotel have a business center? Why drag your laptop with you if your only going to use it for the inet?

BigDUSA, guess u're right, I just like to put my feet up when I browse, check my mail as soon as I wake up, etc, i.e. always at hand. Guess I'll have to keep my hands busy with something else.
