I've stayed there but only for one night and then went on to Pattaya the next day. Although I stayed there with girlfriend and our son, I do know they are guest friendly.
The beds are nice and big, although a bit soft. The Air con is industrial strength so no worries there and the refrigerator is serviceable.
Beyond that, the walls are a bit thin for my taste. Also, I don't remember what provisions there were for security. There may have been a safe in the room but I don't remember.
One thing I do remember though is that the cleaning lady, at least when I was there, is a Katoey and she can be funnier than hell. Tip her a hundred baht or so every so often and she will take care of your room real well.
Weekly rates? I don't know, never asked. But, I would guess that they are available. Why don't you send them an e-mail and ask? I don't remember the owners name but I think he is a Brit and he is a nice enough fellow.
Has anyone else here stayed there long term?

I stayed there twice and each time for a few days and have no complaints about the room even though it is rather old and basic. There is no built-in safebox in the room.
Yes, the cleaning maid is a 'katoey' (ladyboy) and one of the ugliest 'katoey' that I had ever seen in Thailand (I would decline her services even if 'she' offer them to me for 'free')
The last time I was staying there I was charged 600 baht per night with UNLIMITED usage of the hotel internet services.
BTW, the hotel consist of only 2 floors and has 24 rooms. It is located just beside the Sukhumvit soi 7 Beergarden and behind the Ambassador Hotel and the 24-hours FoodLand Supermarket. It is within walking distance of Eden Club and Nana Plaza/Grace Hotel/Thermae/Bamboo Bar/Asoke Place/Soi Cowboy. The Nana Skytrain Station is a few minutes away.

I stayed there couple of times.
Check that windows are LOCKED , every time I took a room locks were open.Pretty easy to get in from the narrowing between houses.
Location is great and safety (last time) means You put things in heavy envilope and tape it shut and write Your name across the tape.

I can confirmed what PL69 and JR said about The Thaihouse Inn. I stayed there last night for 600 baht and am writing this post from their free internet service. I was looking for a cheap, clean room near the Soi 7 Beergarden for a LT with a freelancer. I have a TGF so I don't want to bring a girl to my apartment lest the staff snitch on me. I had their American Breakfast for 100 baht and it was OK. The room was very small and without a TV, but the aircon worked fine and the towels seemed brand new. I actually did an afternoon ST with a freelancer and then got 2 fresh towels for a 20 baht tip. I will definitely stay here again for another midweek LT.

The owner of that place is a Husband and Wife team. The husband is a white farang, and his wife is Thai. She also teaches the cooking class in the restaurant located above FOODLAND.
