The Grand President offers a discount to TSM members. I'm not really interested in joining TSM, but of course i would like the discount!
Does anyone know what kind of proof / verification the GP needs? (if any)

They do not look for any proof. I booked by E.Mail both times I stayed there and asked for TSM discount . I have never been a TSM member and I got the discount without any questions asked.

The GP will give you a massive discount anyway if you ask them nicely (without you even having to mention TSM discount). I checked in to the GP again yesterday, will be staying for a month (6 weeks ago stayed here for a month as well).
Smile at them nicely & ask for a big discount, which you will get, along with a lecture about how this is an extremely special discount given only to very special people & you should think yourself very lucky & you should be eternally grateful, etc, etc.
I'm paying 25000 Baht per month (reduced from 32600)

Yes, the most stupid thing to do is to book GP through the internet. Much better to negotiate the price at the desk.
