Novotel Lotus. Seriously good value for money, seems to me. Nice clean modern rooms with excellent equipment for about 45 US a night all in. Breakfast a slight disappointment..in a country solid with fruit they should be able to offer more then they do and you have to ask for bacon. Seems to be highly g/f: a sign says that visitors after 22.00 shd register but there is no mention of a joiner fee.The minibar offers, besides the usual array of overpriced drinks and sweets, condoms (95 bt for three plus plus!) and Listerine which suggests they have few illusions about their guests....A bit far from the action, maybe

you can find action in Soi 33 as well (and Soi 22).
Not really far from Cowboy.
Can take BTS or cab to Nana.

I can confirm it's boy friendly. One memorable night me and my good friend met two girls, one a Thai residing in Oz and the other her local Thai friend, they had a room at the Novotel Lotus and when the four of us went there after discos closed, we got in OK and didn't have to leave our IDs downstairs

Last time I tried to book (Oct 03) the rate was around US$ 100 ++. So I went across the street and stayed at Impala (near Emporium) for US$ 35. Really found the service there better than the Lotus. Anyway, Soi 33 is just a short walk from Impala.

Booked three nights in the Lotus at the end of Chinese New Year for 8, 000 Amex points per night.
If your a F/flyer card holder you can get some other world wide hotels for 7, 000 points a night.

I am staying there again next week, got it for $55 US, usually $51 but hey its nearly peak season (Deluxe Room). Price included taxes and breakfast for 2  . Totally girl friendly plus lots of bars in crawling distance! Also close to BTS station.
