Anyone stayed at the Twin Tower recently? Any issues with the hotel I should be made aware of?

I've stayed at the Twin Towers twice and will stay there again next trip. Good hotel for the price. Book a double.

Your close to National Stadium Sky-Train Station about 10 minute walk. I never had any problems walking back late at night.

Just got back from Bangkok. Would like to share my thoughts on Twin Towers.
Must confess they do try their level best but just can't hide the fact the hotel is old and its infrastructure is not that great.
The first night I couldn't sleep becuase the air-con was freezing cold. Set the thermostat to the max 30 and that didn't help. So shut the air-con off but then the room became very stuffy.
Had my room changed. Now it is the opposite. The room is unbearably hot. Set the themostat to the minimum 15 and like before that didn't help any. Plus there was hardly any air flow anyway even though the fan was set to high. Final straw came when I found a dead cockroach.
The last room was great. Everything worked fine.
Had other minor problems as well. TV didn't work properly. Had brown water coming out on several occassions. The breakfast buffet is one big joke. Can't believe how bad the breakfast buffet was.
Would I stay there again? Nope. There are other better choices in that price range.

I got 6 nights for the price of 4 nights in July for my stay. at 1700 Bht for 2 people that makes out at 1133 Bht per night, including ABF, tax and service charges.
I chose the hotel largely as a compromise between not being too far from Rattanakosin and their seemingly very good Swimming Pool, combined with this particular price offer. Personally I also like that there is a Japanese restaurant in the Hotel. (Right, going to Thailand to eat in a Japanese restaurant - duh, but that's what I want at least once).
The occupancy rate is 1500 Bht for one and you can get 3 nights and pay for 2. The occupancy rate for 2 is 1700 Bht at 3 nights for 2. Now, thats my TG and me, considering that Liftoff is also tagging along we will be kinda 3 personas in the room w/o having topay extra, thats a pretty good deal.

Yes, Hal is bussy working on a VITD and otherwise will keep the club house here nice and tidy. On a related note, LO is very greatful for the opportunity to come allong as he hasn't been out and about much lately. Hence it makes sense that it's Hal's turn to stay home.
