Oldtimer, when I was working out there about a year and a half ago, there was a super cutie in the gym at the same time. After she left I asked the attendent who she was, and he told me "a Miss Thailand from a few years ago." Supposed to be a regular there. Maybe you wake up too late.

The Westin's Gym was re-done about a year ago, and it is nice. Pretty much similar to what the SGS has in size and equipment.
I am a big Gym fan myself, and both the gyms at the Westin, and SGS should be fine for a short stay in BKK if you are staying at those hotels. I would not go to them for a membership if I was not living at the hotel.
That California place that one guy mentioned on the corner of Suk and Soi 23 is one of the best gyms I have seen in my life. Three floors, with at least 400 pieces of equipment there. Not to mention all the hotties running around in the disco like atmosphere.

Does anyone know how much the California Fitness gym charges for daily or weekly guests? I read somewhere that they also have an agreement with 24 Hr. Fitness members but that wasn't on their official site.

California charges 1000 baht for a guest visit....not cheap. I have a monthly there for 4000 baht but that is for yoga only. Not sure how much more I pay for full facilities. The best rates are on a yearly basis of course. And yes, there are many many babes there. The real added value of California is 1) classes for those who want and 2) yoga which u can't get at the hotels. Other than that the hotels are adequate and u shouldn't waste ur money at California.

Anyone ever heard of Power Zone Gym. Seen a few pics of the place, but their website is in Thai.
Daily visits are 120 baht.

You've been drinking solidly from 18:00 to 02:00 then you stagger back to yer crib steemin' drunk with two floosies in tow. You eat 7 Viagra (by mistake) that keeps yer ol' man up for only (thank God!) an hour n' half whilst you frantically try to have sex with one of those present until you fall a sleep and the girls/LBs steal your money and leave!
You wake up at circa 13:00 throw up then shower n' shave (slashin' yer face to ribbons with the safety razor) and brush your teeth with the KY and put on some clothes that don't have any "biological" stains or smell of smoke n' beer.
You swallow a handful of Tylenol washed down with all the minibar fluids left (surprisingly!) by the floosies. Within 2.5 seconds you throw up again but manage to eventually stagger into the hotel's restaurant holding onto the wall as you go (very slowly) downstairs forgetting there's an elevator!
You look at the bacon 'n eggs and immediately run to the toilet where your rear-end violently blasts out some vial smellin' partially digested mixture of insects and durian, that makes you want to throw-up but you can't, as you have nothin' left in your stomach (or bowels) !
So, you walk meekly back to pay your bill then quietly proceed towards the door blinking at the searing daylight that's tryin' desperately to get through your RayBan Wafearer copies. The noise is incredibly loud as you open the creakin' door, when you experience the cruel OUTSIDE WORLD!
By now it's 15:30 and you're supposed to be meetin' xxxx for a beer in Day Night Bar but you have the mother n' father of all headaches, your breath smells like you sucked on a hod-carriers sock last night and you're first thought is, "I must do some circuits down the California Gym".
Who the f*** is able or has the time to visit a Gym in LOS?

Hey man, That is my life for the past month and half...described perfectly, but I still drag my ass to California fitness to run off all that booze. If you are here for an extended time, you will have to either concede to being a fat slob, or decide to get some fitness while here. As a side note, a trip to California fitness is also a good motivator to get over your hang over, and decide to go out again to f***, and booze. Unfortunately it is an never ending circle that you can never win.
