Wouldnt doubt http://www.thaihoteldiscounts.com, I have used them many times and cannot fault them, last trip I was actually on my way from Pattaya to Bangkok rang Tim and within 10 minutes we had 3 rooms in Sukhumvit, there was actually a huge convention on at the time, no problem. Then we all stayed 1 extra nite and again no problem.

OK, so maybe they are raizing the building to put up a new, better and bigger building.
I guess joiner fees are suspended now that the building is raized, by now the question is academic.
They sound guest unfriendly to me, instead of saying downright NO, they charge a fee which in my book is far above average., to discourage the practice.
There is the tweaking, of course, I used it to great amusement in Amari Bouleward, which based on location and amenities would remain my favourite hotel with a looser practice.
I booked a double room for occupancy by 2 people (this was in 2002), arrived alone, the lady at the desk asked me about the second guest, I told her she (the 2nd guest) would arrive later, which she did. FrankieGirl at the time flew in 3 days later. In the meantime I had mongerladies in and out of there.
The lady at the desk was not happy when I I brought a BG and checked against a list, let in but with a cetain harassment - or so it felt.
When Frankiegirl arrived all was forgiven.
