Sawadee Hotels in Bangkok (and Pattaya) are usual older not well maintained but cheap hotels.
On www.hotelscombined.com rates start at 771 baht.
Note that if you want to go home after BTS stops, the taxi ride will be 60 baht on top of that.
I would think that they are similar quality / price hotels (like Honey Soi 19) available at more convenient locations on lower Suk.

Used to be quite a few problems with thefts a few years back. Not sure if those problems still exist with the staff.
