They don't take id's, no checks were made at all during my 9 day stay.
Hotel is great except for very noisy air con.
Good quality for the price - 1765 baht inclusive.
Included free sim card, 1000 baht credit in restaurant and bar, free breakfast for 2, free newspaper to door.
Liked it and will be making it my new base.

Which has nicer rooms? Better location? Nicer breakfast?, etc.

Spent a 2-night weekend stay at SilQ last month, THB2000 a/i per night with breakfast and in-room Internet. 7-Eleven located across the street, Robinson dept store about a 1.5min walk, BTS station about 2.5mins away. Front desk staff upgraded me to a superior room as standard rooms were booked up when I arrived. No hotel points or frequent flyer miles. You can catch the lift on the ground floor and bring guest(s) straight up to your room without passing through the lobby. Breakfast service is nicely done. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommend e-mailing the hotel directly to enquire about availability and room rates vice booking through their website. Very nice, clean, quiet, new hotel. I will stay again.

Was cheap for awhile, now it isn't. Right around 2K again. One can do better for that price, and close by. wj
