Sup': I agree completely with Kris. I also have stayed many times at the Landmark and have never had a problem with a female or females being able to go up to the room at any time of the day/night. They will ask on occassion for the females id's, but i feel that if for our safety. They will also call when the female leaves to make sure everything is okay. I'd place the Landmark back onto the "guest-friendly" hotel list!! ha ha ha ha!!

Well, I've never seen it officially on a list of guest friendly places, but it's good to know it should be. Of course, there is still a difference between a place where you can bring 3 drunk shabbily dressed bargirls stumbling into your room and a place where they don't mind the girls as long as you're reasonably discreet (I assume the Landmark is the latter). Hopefully, people will act accordingly so it remains on the list. Just out of curiosity, what is the nicest hotel in Bkk that is guest friendly? Landmark, JW Marriott? On the BkkTonight guest friendly list, I would certainly think Shangri-La was the nicest, but I just have a hard time believing they would be happy if you came in with a typical bargirl. Although I could believe they wouldn't bother you if you brought in a different "respectable" Thai girl every night.

Shouldn't the Ambassador be on the list too? I suggest everyone take a quick glance at the list to see if there are names that are obviously missing so BK only has to update it one more time. Other Suggestions: 1) I also noticed that it's a bit hard to correlate cost vs. guest friendliness. I.e. if I want a guest friendly hotel for under $40 I have a bit of cross-referencing to do. It would be nice if the main hotel list had a marker for guest friendly status. 2) Maybe have another marker for hotels that are within a block or two of the skytrain. 3) I like that the guest friendly list is organized by location for those who want to be close to the action (of their own choosing). It would be nice for newbies to have the nightlife areas explicitly mentioned on this page for easy reference and perhaps have the hotels on sukhumvit ordered by Soi. 4) Why are there two different pages (seemingly with the same data) for "guest" and "girl" friendly hotels. Is there a difference? 5) If you don't get a kickback or some other consideration from planetholiday.com for the references you should check into it.

Chompoo, Great suggestions for the guest friendly list. I will definitely work on adding some more information to that list. The two pages that I had created earlier was due to to some proxy server that banned pages with the word "girl" in it. This was done ages ago. BK

Chompoo, Yes, Ambassador is certainly guest friendly. Just be sure to book your room for double occupancy. Kris
