I have never stayed in the Manhattan but location, facilities etc looks like real good value for money. I notice from their Web page that they have a Karaoke Bar in the hotel. That is one of the venues/scenes where I like to hook up with a girl, have a drink and sing together to see if the chemistry is allright and check out her willingness as well. Are there hostesses in the Karaoke in this hotel and can you take them to your room?

Sorry but I never noticed karaoke bar. But because of great location I have always been left with the impression that very few guests actually use the hotel for anything more than a base.

Yep exactly use the Manhattan as a base point only, far too many other good day and night spots to check out.

I have stayed at manhatten before 950 bht inclusive of all taxes and charges and breakfast. Good value. That was for a double room, no questions asked when checking in about if my wife was staying or anything like that. Now I got it from the Manager himself that if you book a single room a 471bht joiner fee for guests will be charged. If you book a double, no charge.

Good clarification, thanks. How is the overall quality of the rooms? I like to live reasonalby decent. I have also found that the girls know well which hotels are good or not and it adds to one's market value so to speak, if you after the more stylish (what ever that means) girls

The rooms are OK, certainly when you consider what you are paying.
The twin rooms on the opposite side of the hotel from soi15 are quite large. Although twin beds they are for sure big enough for two.
But if you really want a large double bed then you should make this clear when booking.

The quality of service and the rooms at Manhattan are great for that price. I stayed there in October for 920baht nett inclusive of an American buffet breakfast. Now, I must say that the breakfast should be given special mention. The usual stuff of eggs scrambled or sunny-side up, pastries, bread, alternate days of fried noodles/fried rice, lovely barbecued bacon(which I had everyday for 4 days!), fruits, free-flow of of hot drinks and juices, what else can I say, it's fabulous! Don't be mistaken, I'm not their hotel staff. Furthermore, I did not have trouble with bringing in girls(I had two at one of my nights). Try to go for the 8th floor rooms cos they are newer. The prices are seasonal. I've got mine through http://www.resorthotel.net , for 920bht, this season is 970bht for the same thing. I made an extension of one more day during my stay, called direct to a Ms Pomme Thomson( a Thai), the agent, and she made all the arrangements without a hitch. Great place to stay. FYI, I've stayed at Baiyoke Sky and Pathumwan Princess before but now I prefer the Sukhumvit area. If anyone know of a better rate to book this hotel, please advice.
