just spoke with bob. I was mistaken, IT IS A KEY. but there is one safety measure. your girl will give her ID card at the reception. before they let her go, they will call you if everything is okay in your room and the girl can go.
I alays stay there for sex, as I don't bring them to my home, except very close ones.

Hi,
Bob, the general manager at Majestic Suites is a good man. I've stayed 5 times with the Double Deluxe Suite. The hotel safe in each room is excellent. No trouble with security or anything. I'm there for Christmas 2003 & New Year 2004. I cannot wait. Love the hotel, perfect location for nipping out for a quick beer and a pickup girl.
No hassles at front desk, completely girl friendly.

Just to clarify on the in-room safe issue at the Majestic, the "key" to the safe is NOT the key to the room. It is a seperate little "pod" that doubles as a money-clip. There are a thousand places you can "hide" it in the room and ever if someone found it, they would not know it is the key to the safe. The in-room safe is huge, about 13in wide x 12in deep x 6in high.

This is strange. I stayed at the majestic suites in APRIL 2004. The room safe was like rooms safes in other hotels. You program in your own code. I know becuase I stayed there and did it. Did they change the safes or was everyone else just guessing as usual.

I was also there in April. They changed the safes, at least in the room I was in. Unlike before, I could choose my own combination to access the safe, similar to the safes in other hotels.

That was the room key, that's still the same. But they've changed the in-room safes so you don't need a separate key, you can choose a 4 digit sequence like safes in other hotels.

I agree. I stayed in April 04 for 6 days and the safe has 4 digit locking system.
Rooms are decent (though small) and the hotel is very TG friendly (LB friendly too).
Though I stayed in double room superior at 1500 Bh (night) was supplied with only 1 BF voucher per day, probably because I checked in alone.
Very near NEP and in heart of action.
Only problem is parking, hotel being very near the signal. You have to go upto Landmark for catching a Taxi. Also advisible to get down near Landmark.
Overall impression: Good.
Will stay in future? Yah sure.

They definitely changed the in-room safe.
I was there in March 04' and its a 4 digit code that you have to choose yourself.
Previously they had the little "pod" but did away with that, which is a good thing.
The only thing is when keying in your code the number actually appears on the screen so I try to cover that area when a TG is in the room.
