Why noone mentions the Raumchitt is beyond me.
The Raumchitt plaza is upstairs from Thermae Cafe, is around 1000baht, no view however. the best part is it is one elevator ride from the top of the stairs from Cafe to your room. Soi 13 (?), and walking distance to Beergarten, Nana, Darlings, etc.. Happy Hunting.

One of the reasons why no one mentions Ruamchitt very much anymore is because after my report from last Sept. people are a bit nervous about staying there. I warned the brothers that if they decide to stay there they should make sure to try and remove the filters from the AC unit in their room and give them a good cleaning. I don't know what was being blown around my room everytime I turned on the AC but it took me 3 months to get over the sinus problems that it caused, starting my first night there. My ex spent most of that night coughing and hacking in the bathroom. Not my idea of fun. Peace

CMORE- Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'd thought for a while I'd been left out of a bad joke. Sorry bout the A/C issue.
My second trip was interrupted by a stolen passport, id, cash, etc. all of which was my fault,( safe-what's a safe?), and the staff, and especially the management was VERY kind and understanding, (though I guess who isn't with the Tourist Police breathin down your necks), So I understandibly have a soft spot for the place. B4 curfew times, it was such fun runnin up and down that elevator too. oh well, I myself have had no respiratory problems, though your caution is duly noted. Party on .

No, this A-hole stayed awake two nights runnin drunk, passed out with a freelancer around 4AM with all my shit in the room. I deserved everything I got. She nicked my Passport, wallet, replete with credit cards, all ID, camera, prescription sunglasses, shit, she even cleaned out my supply of condoms and lube. Like I said, I didn't "believe" in safes then. The freelancer ran up around 5000 in US dollars in two days at Robinson and Central. Because this genius didn't sign in the girl, the Tourist Police had little chance of stopping her. When this happens, a police report must be filed in order to receive a temporary passport. After two weeks of "processing" and two denials I got my replacement and was able to leave on schedule. Though I was able to get down to Pattaya and Phuket this lesson surely cast a pall on the remainder of my holiday. When said replacement passport had arrived, this lucky bastard was made a female! To this day the front flap proclaims this pussy as such. Always a joke at Immigration......
This happy poster therefore recommends highly that all use the hotel safe and sign in the BG for sanook. As they say in the US, "Don't let this happen to you". Play safe have a great time.

Good report, I have to laugh everytime I read some guy wanting to know what hotel doesn't make the girl sign in. Only way to track her down. Another good laugh is the "walk of shame".
One thing I always do, I only carry enough money for two days fun. I don't carry ATM or CC with me. I leave them in the lock box.

Nana condo is down soi 4, a few hundred yds past NEP, mostly for long term stay, pretty basic rooms - for cheap accomodation, I think either Honey, soi 19, or Promenade, quiet, down soi 8, are hard to beat, no hassles with girls, have cable TV, fridge, Pool, bath, Air-con etc, and can get both for around 800 bt, at Honey that includes ABF.
