Hi, I have had singles and never paid a joiner fee.
But this is definately not a 3 star hotel! Darkish rooms, peeling walls and furniture, a small tub and erratic plumbing, and less than clean pool. Even the large rooms have a stark feel to them,
And hey, I still go there. I'm addicted the simple rice soup at breakfast. And the pool is deeper than most.

Now that the rate for a basic room not around cars and exhaust start at 900 baht, the Manhattan price is close. For 100 baht more, you get a better hotel and buffet breakfast. Construction still may be an issue with Manhattan. I like both places and would stay at Honey Hotel again.

Just an update on this place. I stayed at Honey Hotel in April 2005. While I think its a good value, I noticed a slight odor in the room and some minor cracks in the wall. It smelled of old hotel or maybe the walls aren't in good shape. Other than that, I liked it, but as I mentioned in an earlier post, Manhattan for around 100 baht more is a better deal and it includes a buffet breakfast.

I paid 900 baht per night, which included the basic breakfast. I'm not saying I don't like it anymore, but I stayed in different rooms over the trip. The staff is good and everything else, but after staying at Manhattan and a hotel in Pattaya, which was cheap as well, I noticed the quality of the rooms in Honey Hotel and there was a slight odor. Maybe it was the fact it was old or the sheets. I figured for a little more, you can upgrade to a better hotel like Manhattan.

Stayed here again in December 2006. 1,000 baht per night with fridge. Lower floor by parking is cheaper, but there is the fumes. Hotel hasn't changed.

Need a place for one night last week and my normal place was full as were others I tried. Paid 1350 with breakfast for a newly upgraded room. Room was very nice and on top floor. Mini bar, pool, and so on. I like Serviced Apt but this was good value!

I have used the site you inquired about several times. My approach when making my three times per year visit from California to BKK is to find the lowest price from my list of preferred hotels. Many times this site did not offer the lowest but other times it was. My experience with this site has been issue free. I have received prompt communication and void of any reservation issues upon my arrival.
