But, guys, Soi 8 is not near Walking Street. It is probably close to a mile away. Sure, the baht buses go all the time but it isn't really close to Walking Street.
By the same token, there are a couple of beer bars on Soi 7 and 8 and you might be able to find a willing companion in one of them.

I realized that about soi 8, but it is one of the better sois with the little bars open like 24 hours.
and tai pan is the name of the hotel on cowboy.
