I did not stay there but have had their breakfast buffet once just to check it out. Its a standard buffet in most hotels in Bankok ( I am referring to the Shangrila, Oriental or Peninsular).
After reading the travel and leisure this time, see Peninsular ranked as the #1 hotel in the WORLD. I could not pass up the opportunity on my way to Bangkok.
I stayed there 1 night at 150$ and most definitly wll worth the cost. Even though I did not try to take a BG there I did see some old guys with some BG at breakfast.
In fact the time I was there our commander in chief, none other than George W was staying there.
Anyway try those hotels and its a class of its own at least for 150$ its worth a try. The same thing in Hong Kong, Tokyo or New York is almost un affordable.

On my way back I stayed a week at the Ambassador ( 3 days) and it sucked really bad. But then comparing apples and oranges.
The Complimentary breakfast buffet at the Ambassador was't bad. Also no problems with taking women up to the room.
In fact one of the russian chicks I banged I even took her down to breakfast with me and she ate good. Much better than me to do justice to the buffet.

Ate in Huntsman pub in basement of Landmark hotel last month. Farang buddie wanted some farang food.
Food was only OK, but expensive for BKK. I think about 3000 baht for 4 people.

but its a nice hotel central and girls are happy to be left at home there and ring girlfriends/farangs, and rape the food menu, and still think you good man. about 5000 a night or more for a good suite

I stay there every trip and am booked for 4 weeks next month. Nothing but good things to say about the Landmark - from the service to the restaurants.
I get a decent corporate discount which helps, but would stay there anyway.
I enjoy the security, the privacy, the quiet, the location and etc.!
You'll love it and the TG's love it!
They think you are a very large ATM and try harder! -

i have a deluxe suite in a few days time, and a girl that has said no many times to being with me got wet at the thought of that sort of hotel luxury and good pay, massage etc......wen its special..when you want that chick to be sweet...thats the place!

How is it like from the Landmark compared to the Sheraton Grande. I know the Landmark is 41/2 star as compared to 5 star but how is there much difference between the two. I cant make up my mind and whether is there much different in price. Seems like Landmark is more central to shops and pubs. Thanks.
