someone has been at president solitaire? it seems a wonderful place and even if higher price for bangkok they give wonderful services in exchange. they are girl friendly?

I did a request earlier today on the Royal President website to see what was available during my stay and it came back with every single room is occupied for every night from the date I tried all the way through April. I didn't try past April. Could this be true or a glitch? Anyway, I emailed them to see what they could do for me but no response yet.

Troyinewa1 - I had the same problem with a few hotels as I was booking on the fly. I agree with previous post that Soliatire is a pretty swish place, but no matter when I tried they were always fully booked. Even rocked up there with bags in hand and while really impressed with the place, they had no rooms. They couldn't even show me a room as they were fully booked - which I didn't really believed. The prob with Solitaire and to a lesser extent president is that they are a bit of a hike to Suk.
I had the same problem with Landmark, emailed directly while in Pattaya, no rooms available. Went to online reservations (precision reservations I think) and sure enough, got a room for the 4 days I wanted. Got upgradred to the landmark floor when I checked in - go figure......
My advice, try the online reservations if the hotel website says no rooms avail.

Are we talking about the same place Isee? The president is a 4 minute walk down soi 15 - which makes it a 4 minute hike from Suk.
Michele - The place is very girl friendly. No problem there.

by the map the president seems to be some far from the main street of sukhumvit, how much time walking you need to go there? it would be a problems for the night?

A 4-6 minute walk from Sukhumvit - No problem at night

I thought the Royal President was different than the President Solitaire. Too many presidents I think. I booked the President Solitaire two weeks ago for my trip this coming week (pun) intended. I had no problems.Not sure if I was just lucky or not. Here is the email of the guy who says he manages both this property and the Admiral Suites. give him a try.

just booked at rp for somebody. have vacancy. executive studio (jade??) double room, 1690.00 plus 10% another 5% if you pay with cc.
asked at ps, they still have vacancy up to 09.04.04 (the weekend before songkran).

I've stayed at GP before and he walk to suk isn't bad at all just a few minutes. This time I booked Solitaire. I know it's further away than GP. I only booked for a few nights in case the hike is too much of a hassle. But the rooms are look real nice and I plan on making use of the jacuzzi.
I booked it using asiatravel.com just this week (I'm there next week) and was able to get it without any problem. I don't know if it's just standard in their reply but asiatravel said to just let them know if I wanted to extend my stay.
