I just tried to book 3 nights in mid July at JW Marriott but no way! It can be possible that it's all full booked?
I tried in Marriott website and they remind me to the one on the River (minimum rate 210 usd!!!) and to the Marriott Apartments (110 usd per one bedroom) which I don't know where and how it is.
Can someone of you give me please some information?

Actually, the $55 priceline rate posted was for the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit, which people were still getting end of last year and may still be able to get (I only saw info theat people had gotten it for $75 on opriceline this year).
The Marriott on the river is a 4 star not 5 star like the JW and people are recently getting this hotel on priceline for $45.
BTW, once you win a priceline bid, the "bird is in the hand".

a lot of girls aren't that stupid and rather like to hang around a nice room and good hotel close to nothing as they also like to feel good and spoiled. cheap charlies and suckers staying in bottom end hotels usually get charged more or the same, as there is no intention for the girls to pursue a more longer perspective with a 'have nothing', 'kee nok' guy!
thai society actually looks digusted on them, as will most of the girls do, unless you are yooung, blond and have a killer body girls will do care where you stay, -> and treat you taht way!!!
anyway, I never ask about prices and always give what I think is appropriate, so it doesn't matter where is stay anyway, as the pricing is up to me!!!

J.W. Marriott v Marriott Resort on the other side of the river?
I've had a few stays over there. I liked it! Had a BG with me from Patong and we just hung out for a few days. There is a shopping mall between the road and hotel that had a good Thai resturant. The have a great pool area and a shuttle boat that gets you over to the Saphin Thaksin BTS Station. Even though your over on the other side of the river it's great. We took the cocktail boat trip was really nice. I don't know about the sanook sceen as I had all I could handle.
Doc, forget about those flamers, they live one step ahead of the trash compactor.... They tell people that THEY will allow them to stay....
I cant' believe the Moderators all that to go on!

The Marriott Apartments are on Soi Langsuan and opened about a year ago. They are opposite Centre Point Langsuan and are very pleasant. It's about 200m to Ratchadamri BTS.

For the guy who stays two weeks and pulls from Gulliver's or the beer garden the girls could care less where you stay as long as the room is clean. The women figure we are a one hit wonder and then we are gone.
BTW Thai society looks down on all us falongs because were falong.
