Guys who are concerned about 15 minute walks seem to me to be very sensible. Under travel essentials Insight Pocket Guide maintains" Bangkok is not a city for walkers, at least not for distances of more than half a kilometre"

For me it is not a question of what I can or can not do.
I’ve walked for hours in Bangkok during daytime and enjoy it. But when I in the afternoon, freshly showered, want to hit the town, drink some beers and meet up with some girls – the sweat after a 15 minute walk in the heat is not what I’m looking for.

I’ve walked for hours in Bangkok during daytime and enjoy it. But when I in the afternoon, freshly showered, want to hit the town, drink some beers and meet up with some girls – the sweat after a 15 minute walk in the heat is not what I’m looking for.
This is exactly what I would say if my english is good enough to write that down. Hunting for girl and sweating is not making me feel comfortable. Taking taxi´s also not because of too much traffic. I have great respect for walker in this heat with that humidity who don´t sweat.
