I am a member of Clark Hatch Fitness Center and they have a total of more than 40 gyms in the Asia-Pacific region, located mostly in 5-stars hotels.
In Thailand the Clark Hatch Fitness Centers are located at : (1) Thaniya Plaza (2) Charn Issara Tower II (3) Amari Atrium Hotel (4) Amari Watergate Hotel (5) Century Park Hotel (6) Chaengwatana Sports Club (Nonthaburi) (7) Windsor Suites Hotel (8) Emerald Hotel & (9) The City Hotel (Sriracha)
You just have to be a member in you home country and they allow you to use the gym (no charge)in any other centres when you travel. You can step into the gym in your working clothes and they will provide you with gym shoes, socks, shorts, T-shirt and towels. Isn't that wonderful ?

I have never been to the JW Marriott. From my experience with hotel gyms, they are not as good when compared to privately owned ones. But JW Marriott might have a good one??
I work out in the U.S at either Golds gym or 24 fitness. So my needs in the gym might be different then others. I like large free weight area and trained people to spot me. I use some nautilus equipment. I will admit that Fitness First is not what I would call a "real" gym. They have very little free weights, but they do have many nautilus equipment that is state of the art, with very educated/trained staff members.

Don't forget the gym of the Royal Meridien hotel at chit lom station. I train about 4-5 times a week and need very heavy duty equipment enough free weights and a very wide benchpress because my arms are very long (I'm about 195cm tall). I also need enough and heavy free weights because on the bench I go up to around 400lbs (185kg). This limits the availability of suitable gyms and I tried all of the ones mentioned here earlier. Only the gym at the Royal Meridien offers all I need. I think it's the best equipped hotel gym I've seen and the rates are Baht 27'000 per year, 4'000 per month or 400 per single day.

Just went to Landmark hotel and got price info:
If you pay cash:
800baht/day or 6100baht/month
--------------------
If you pay via credit card (3 month minimum):
2000 baht joiner fee
1500 baht admin fee
6000 baht for 3 months
-------------
9500 baht + 7% VAT
Much better deal with Credit, but i just dont trust em to stop billing the card. If gyms in USA keep billing u after u cancel, i am sure they do the same things here.
But gym did look nice.

Does anybody know if the Marriott gym can be used by non-guests, and any ideas of the prices?
Previous experience of Marriots, when the company is paying, is that they have great facilities.
As I am paying for BKK, then I am going to stay somewhere cheaper!

when I went into landmark gym back in april they charged me 200 baht for day use. Is it really 800 baht now?

Yesterday the gym in the Landmark told me 850bt per day. I'll stick with clean living and nightly pushups.
