The more I look and read/research about where to stay the more indecisive I get. So I have narrowed it down to 3 different hotels thus far: majestic suites, swiss park, or palazzo. Can anyone give me a thumbs up on one of these places or possibly another suggestion for a place in the 1100 to 1200 baht a night rate. I am looking for clean and quiet (no constuction noises) and wireless internet access with food nearby. You guys are gonna say UTFSE, but the more I look the more confusing it can be, so I just want some up to date info. I will be arriving on march 27th and I dont have to be back in the real world until may 9th.

All 3 places are good in their own ways. Swiss Park and Majestic Suites are good though you wont get a room there checking in on the 27th March! Swiss Park has the construction going on as well.
Palazzo is a very popular haunt for especially the Singaporeans/Malaysians. A nice place. Superior rooms at about 1221 Baht/night. No swimming pool but so clean and good value. Totally guest friendly and good service. about 5 mins walk to the MRT.

I believe all 3 hotels have no free wireless. But Since you will be there for such a long time, I recommend you to stay in Sukhumvit area. Transportation is better, especially swiss park as it is 2 mins from nana BTS. Another choices near Swiss park is Grand Business Inn. For 1495B per night, you get free wireless (Only in the old wing. New wing is cabled) but beware that it does not have a pool.,

It did not happen until some time ago and I see it with others as well. Can anyone enlighten how to do it right?
"They" removed the copying of the original text so that the postings remained small.
If you want to indeed quote the original text, you have to first copy it, press "quote" and then paste the text into the posting (just before "bracket slash quote braquet").
As for Majestic Suites, they are really, really convenient for Nana Plaza (just around the corner). A pool is available at Majestic Grande (but it seems to be in the shade most of the day).

Grand Business Inn had an expansion last year. They took over the building next door and increase the nos of rooms due to the demand. The old wing refer to the rooms before expansion while the new wing refer to the new area that being expanded. Normally when I will put my preference in the remark column and they understand what I meant. Stay in the new wing once. Not bad but no wireless, only cabled. Also in the new wing, the room are equiped with DVD player. They actually install the player while I was staying there. Very nice.
by the way, I book the hotel through this website. It is cheaper.

Thanks for the tip on the discount website. Looks like the discount rate isn't for everyone, found this warning: Rates are not applicable for Middle East, India, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Pakistan ( Hotel Policy)
Doesn't apply to me, but never seen anything that blatant before - at least not on a website...

I think this sort of racial discrimination is not appreciated by any body. I being an Indian I have stayed at least 4 times in Manhattn in as many years and started staying in Swiss Park too. Looks like its out of bounds for us now.
