Stayed there for 2 days during my very recent trip. Just took a standard room. TV at the perfect eye angle if you want to lay on bed and watch. Extremely friendly front desk, always a smiling face. Vey helpful. The tuk tuk driver was extremely nice, helping my small bit of luggage. Give him a tip and he will give his life for you.Got stuck in rain one of the days at Soi 18 corner right in front of 7-Eleven, called up the lodge and they sent the tuk-tuk to pick me up. Well, though its end of the soi I will not say its not a walkable distance. I mostly walked. Girl friendly. Very friendly house keeping. Though they have a DVD player in the room I do not know if they have a DVD library. They can rent out DVDs to guest. This could be a big draw.I will stay there next time.

Koolbreez, a non-BTF friend and I spent an hour or so in Toxic. Joined by Dr. Love. Nice atmosphere, and RTB was congenial.
Prabal, thanks for the recomendation. Might try it out when next I am in BKK. Also, you told a GREAT story to Koolbreez and I in the lobby of the Manhattan. I think everyone would enjoy a FR based on it.

Just back from BK. Had a good time at the Town Lodge. Freindly staff, clean rooms, very good location for SC and Washington Sq. / Soi 22 and only about 7 mins walk to Asoke BTS, though the free tuk-tuk will whisk you up Soi 18 in no time (you can walk all the way to Soi 4 in under 15 mins easy if you feel energetic). Minor hic-cup when the water pump failed one day; situation could have been handled a little better, but not a big issue and I would certainly visit again (in fact I did when my stay extended another 2 days after a trip down to Koh Samed). WiFi in the foyer plus a PC for guest use. The under bed lighting is a great idea - just enough light to see what you are doing. Fine value at 1200 baht per night, even better with the current free extra day promotion. Only minor drawback is that taxis can get snarled up in the tailbacks on both both sides of the Sukhumvit / Asoke cross-roads. Recommended.
