I have had hotels where the information is in the computer upon check-in and others where there is no mention of price but shows where the booking came from. Most have the info but I think it depends upon the hotel chain's internal booking/reservation/billing systems. Hell, one hotel tried to bill me again upon check-out for my priceline stay.

Yes. I recently booked the Orchard Hotel in Singapore, and my rate of S$85 was displayed with my room number in the keycard holder. The rate listed by asiatravel.com is S$190 (but includes breakfast, which independently costs S$26). The girl at check-in tried to talk me into 'upgrading' to a 'deluxe' room for an additional S$30 but, after I declined, she told me she was assigning a 'deluxe' room anyway.

Nice lobby. Rooms were small, but nicely furnished. Had a room with twin beds, and the bed was far too small for me. Port hole window into the bathroom freaked out the cute Thai girl I brought in from Orchard Towers, she wouldn't shower unless I pulled down the shade. Later, I brought in a pretty Vietnamese girl that really enjoyed having an audience while she showered. I certainly can't complain for the price I paid, and great location for shopping and p4p. I would definitely stay there again, especially if I could get that rate.

what do you mean by that? I stay in greece and cannot register neither at the usa nor the hk,sg sites..how does it work? can I use a friend's address in usa and bid? isn't it supposed to ship the tickets/reservation papers to your place? how should they know then?

although it might be hard to use pl since I cannot register yet ( I asked on the hk/sg site if they can deliver on my hotel at singapore that I will be before coming to bkk..still wait) are all these hotels you talk gf?? otherwise there is no point for me trying to resolve the registration think..thx in advance!

For hotel reservations, there is no paperwork to deliver, just print out a receipt with the confirmation number. The address might be used to verify your credit card, but I recently changed addresses without updating my priceline profile, and the credit card was still accepted by priceline (although I had used it there before). Don't know if Priceline delivers paper airline tickets, or just uses e-ticketing.
Most, but not all, of the hotels in BKK that partner with Priceline are guest friendly. However, if you bid specifically for 5-stars in Sukhumvit area, you should get a guest friendly hotel if your bid is accepted (JW Marriott, Westin, or Sheraton Grande).
BTW, I got a great deal for Singapore next month: The Marriott for $70 USD, including tax, a savings of $100/night over other online reservation systems.
