never had any problem at all @ Town Lodge, I know the girl who is in recpetion late at nite is only filling in as she is also the lass who cooks breaky, the cute receptionist left very sudden.

Stayed here for 2 nights just over a week ago. Took the deluxe room at 1,400 bt (I think). Found it basic but clean and safe. Will stay again; not every trip but would consider for a longer stay where reducing the accom budget in favour of more worthwhile expenditure was needed.
BTW; it's a 5 minute walk to Suk Rd. No way 3 mins.

Well, TPE II. You will not have any competition from me for the room with the Jacuzzi. Yes, I did see that the room had a Jacuzzi. Again, still not worth 2900baht. Thats higher than the best rate at Majestic Grande and not nearly the hotel imho.
The jacuzzi rooms I saw at TL was a fair bit bigger than the standard rooms I have stayed in at Majestic Grande. For 2900 I'd say the TL jacuzzi room was the better deal. Having said that you can hardly compare the two hotels as most rooms at TL are only 1200 baht. The underbed lights at TL are a great idea.

Sorry, Did not know about the night help. I have learned some things as the thai way. With each visit you learn preventive methods to make your stay hasstle free. 95% I learned for this forum b/f 1st trip. With each trip I accumulate more.
Though I had a couple bumps in the road at the SG and TL--These are these only two hotels I will stay at in BKK.
Back to the Super Bowl.

staying at town lodge at the moment.the rooms are very clean and have everything you need.air-con,tv,dvd player and a well stocked mini-bar.the girls in the bar are a lot of fun and have so far managed to keep me from straying to soi cowboy or nana.oh well I have 3 more weeks to rectify that.the walk to the main road is not that far and the tuk-tuk is usally around if you are feeling lazy.i think I will be making town lodge my first choice hotel to stay at when in bangkok from now on.
yet to meet ring the bells yet. if you are around RTB I am the guy always sitting with the girls.would be nice to meet you.

Stayed at Town Lodge a few days ago... not much more I can say that already hasn't been posted - great place and well worth 1200 a night. I was a bit reluctant to stay here at first because of the location, but that turned out to be ok in the end. I actually enjoyed the quiet location down the soi. Everything is still within walking distance - I even hiked to Nana no problem.
The hotel itself is very stylish and the staff top notch. Only problem I had was no soap when I checked in (at 2am) and the poor girl working the graveyard couldn't find any. Also, I have a laptop with an ac adaptor that has 3 prongs (grounded) - all plugs in the room are 2 prong. THey let me plug it in behind the front desk to charge... so bring an adaptor with you.
Also, if you stay here, you'll probably spend too much time in Toxic (which is no way a bad thing  Kind of like when you stay in Vegas, you tend to gamble most in the hotel you stay in.

stayed 2 nights in jacuzzie room. Loved the large room with jacuzzie onsuite. Both have TV and cd player. Under bed lights great. Room 408 has smaller jacuzzie than 208 but has comfotable sofa. Very nice decor and plenty of windows in 408 (Cant remember 208). I like natural light during the day.
Need to buy new cutlery IMO. Vecurrent one is very modern but not very practical. Very good coffee, but did not know how to get it out of the machine until shown.
Certainly guest friendly. Toxic not busy, very few girls, bartender only good looker, but other girls friendly.
Little bid out of the way but OK to walk to Sukumvit.
If u like Jacuzzie then its worth staying here. (2900 Baht)
Good for "Party"! 208 can fit 4 in jacuzzie.

While the location isn't the greatest, the tuk tuk was there when we needed it and they were more than happy to take my daughter and her friend to a shopping mall and then pick them up when they finished.
I did have a slight problem with the A/C but it was finally settled to my satisfaction when they provided a fan for my use.
I particularly enjoyed Toxic and having a chance to meet some of the BTF guys I had not met before. Rtb is a gracious host and will do you right. A good place to chat and meet people (remember, my wife was with me so no hanky-panky was permitted).
I will stay there again and recommend the place to our members.

No, I think all of my family enjoyed the place. The only down side is my daughter likes room service and there is none. Rtb did let her eat at the buffet so she didn't starve. A good place, all things considered.
