For the 5* ones the they are all girl friendly in the Suk area. There is always a slim chance that a new hotel will sign on with Priceline. I recall reading a thread on this forum saying that the Novotel Lotus (Suk 4*) was charging a joiner fee now.
Years ago The Landmark would pop up on occasion.

Yes, best to play it safe and taget 5-star hotels. For some expectations of accepted bids, look at:

Of course, there is no guarantee, so you are taking some risk, so bid strategically and carefully. Also, be aware there are no refunds for cancellations, and breakfast is usually not included. Good luck.

just got 3 rooms at westin for 80usd for next week..do this one count for points gather or forget it due to priceline cheaper price?
can I contact priceline.com to tell em to give my starwood # for the booking?or contact the hotel in advance and ask for that to updade my status? can I ask anything like certain place to have the rooms (any suggestions?) or since I am a virgin member to starwood they won't care?

GR_Fantom,
You can e-mail the hotel directly with your spg # to confirm. They might put you on the spg floor, and they will take requests if they are able (King bed, non smoking etc). You can not get points for the priceline booking. Anything else you spend at the hotel is eligible for points.

Starwood does not give points for Pricieline rooms. They stopped giving points last year. I tried 65, 70 and 75 for June and struck out. I went ahead ann booked the Conrad. Got a decent corporate rate or $105 ++
