Sukhumvit Soi 4 is not a "main road" at all. Because it effectively dead-ends just past the Woraburi Inn, at the Tobacco Monopoly gate, it's without through traffic, and the only cars going down to that end especially at night are Soi 4 residents. Even in daytime there are relatively few vehicles allowed through that back gate -- a far cry from the days when taxis could use that as shortcut from Rama IV Rd.
Being 700 m or so from the nightlife action at the other end of the soi, things are very quiet down by the Woraburi.
So, were you thinking of some other soi -- or some other hotel?

whitespider- When you said that you were staying at PP in the "deluxe studio" for 1000B, what does PP stand for? Are you refering to the Woraburi Inn?

When I stayed at the Woraburi in mid March there was no joiner fee, so maybe that's something new. There was a key deposit of 800 baht, but that was refunded upon check out. Again I brought 2 girls back with me during my 2 night stay and had Zero problems. I know one of the girls (an adorable freelancer I met at the Soi 7 Beer Garden) left her ID at the desk, but if I remember correctly the other girl (a dancer from Fantasia at NEP) just waltzed up to the room with me.
crazy, there was no safe in my room, but the hotel does offer safe deposit boxes.

I used a Woraburi room for LT second week in April. No joiner fee then, either. No checking the girl in - no interference of any kind.
Rooms are pretty basic but good value & adequate for the purpose; nice location.

OK..here"s the scoop on the Woraburi...stayed there this past weekend two nights with my bud...the prices for the presidential suite ( $1700 a night) were definitely not worth it..what you get is a king sized bed, a dual bath tub and on the other side is a shower ( the bath tub has a shower nozzle as well). The TV was crappy...only got the regular 9 or 10 channels...there was no balcony, although the windows had a tint and my room overlooked Soi 4. On the day we were checking out, this one Brit came up to the front desk very incensed...apparently, he had left his cell phone at the bar and it got stolen. He wanted to talk to the manager, but since it was a Sunday, the reception girls said that the manager wasn`t in...go figure..the pool on the 5th floor is pretty cool, good view and all.. no safes in the room ( I stayed in the presidential suite ). Well, me and my bud left there early to go to the nanatai mansion a few steps down Soi 4...the room rates there are about $1000 to $800 baht a night....and for that much, you get what the Woraburi charged for the "presidential suite." The only difference is that at the NanaTai Mansion, there is no in room bar. Both places relatively guest friendly...just accompany the girl up to your room quickly by the desk...they never bothered me..the only thing the Woraburi has going for it is its lobby bar....something out of years ago...open air, hot as hell, celing fans, one can sit on a chair and watch life go by on Soi 4...the police did come by on Saturday night at around 3:00 am to shut the bar down....no piss tests thought....

Still no answer.
Next saturday i'm in BKK and still no room.
But i think isn't should be a problem to find a room free at Woraburi Inn now without reservation ?

good point Griffin. I arrived in BKK at 1am on Dec 30. I took a cab to suk 11 and on my 3rd try I had a room at the ambasador for 900. Sometimes I forget that you don't have to have reservations. There are lots of rooms in BKK and you might get stuck paying a bit much for your first night, but after that you should be just fine.
