Some days in Bangkok – my personal update
Made it to SWISS PARK HOTEL by 1400 after a night-flight from Europe.
Had good experiences from my last visit – nothing to complain.
Same again: value-for-money ratio excellent!
Rooms clean and well kept, service absolutely allright.
Book a room for two and you will never be asked any question about company.
Switch on the “Do not disturb” sign and enjoy a good lay-in untill you feel like things start up again. You will find the house-keeping staff waiting somewhere around the corridor, even asking “May we look after your room now?”; but without an undertone if you don’t want to hear it.
Had made the booking via the link on Bangkok Tonight website and that always works very smoothly.

Yes, from the room-window it looks allright for a swim.
Big enough, situated something like on top of the 6th floor of the side wing, no plants/shadow provided and must have the full noise coming up from the Soi.
Never went there myself and never saw anybody swimming or relaxing by the poolside...

Stayed here for 2 nights recently - and was very happy with it! I think Swiss Park offers best value for money: clean, new rooms, very reasonalble prices: Best deal!
But: Did anybody already mention the huge construction going on right behind the Hotel? It's quite noisy and if you don't like noise in the early hours you shoud better ask for a room facing Soi 11.

Here is another secret about Swiss Park. If you have a wireless laptop, you can tap into a free wireless network from nearby Business Inn or the Internet place in soi 11 1/2. BG's think I am soooo smart. I give them free internet to e-mail their fake bfs.

good hotel... nice pool, great breakfast, very GF, polite staff, clean rooms w/full bathtub, very reasonable rates (1166bht/night on thaihoteldiscounts.com vs. 1800bht/night walkin rate for DBL superior)
quality wise no comparison w/the roach motels you see along the same street. would definitely recommend. good location on soi 11/1 in between NEP & SC, but some construction going on across the street, so can get loud in the morning hours.
