Stay on the Soi side furthest from Sulkumvit. I stayed there for two weeks in November and did not hear any construction.
As far as quests go, I had taken many girls up to my room (registration for two) and got no hassle. Make sure they take the girls ID for your protection. If the girls comes down alone they will not give it back without calling you.

As quoted above..you shouldnt have to pay over 1000 baht for a double if you book ahead and online with agent like siam. Ive always been quoted double that for the walk in price which I think is a not good value for the money. I even told the reception clerk at the time that I could walk to a local internet cafe, book online for 900baht and walk back in 30 mins and they would have to give me the room for that price but they still refused to come down in price for the room to match the internet price. Sometimes I dont understand how the thais carry out their business. But thats their business.

Thanks for the information. Do you mean I should stay on the side towards Soi Cowboy or the other? I got a little confused. Last time I was on the side of the hotel facing Soi Cowboy. There was heavy construction on both sides. I had a room on the end of the hotel, farthest from Sukhumvit, but I still heard it.

when I was last at Manhattan there was construction on both the side facing soi cowboy and at the rear. I dont think manhattan had any side rooms so you may get construction noise in whatever room you stay in at the moment???

The Soi cowboy side is the soi side. I was in room 524 and did heard very little if any construction going on.
Also if you are into Thai massages they have a great little massaues their by the name of Om. She will come to your room for 600Bhat for two hours. Extras are extra.

I just booked 3 nights, $54 USD, that includes breakfast (BF) and is booked as a double.

You booked a single at 747 baht and its a double? If you book it as a single, you have a single. A double or twin is a double occupancy. I believe a fee is extra on top of the nightly rate. You got this at the same site?
