i was considering sheraton for my nov trip.

the lowest rate I saw was $151USD for their Deluxe room (excluding tax/service). http://www.precisionreservations.com

i opted for landmark deluxe room on their lifestyle floor $115USD (3 nite promo).

Hero was right in his earlier post on this thread -- you get a better rate than Precision when you book through the Starwood Preferred system which is directly affiliated with Sheraton. It takes a few minutes to register but the price is USD120 instead of USD151 (same room and amenities, double occupancy basis). See Hero's post for the web address.

Cheers,
Luke

A Foody
Picky Banker - JW Marriott Sukhumit has what they call an "advance purchasing rate" I think, it is around $ 125.--. Book 3 weeks in advance and you are eligble for this rate. However you can't change dates later - or cancel. It's like the cheaper airline tickets - non re-routable, non refundable..... But probably worthwile.

Website is: http://www.marriott.com/bkkdt

It's a two minutes walk to NEP from the hotel - only Nana Hotel is closer......

I'm constantly amazed at the inane prices you folks are willing to pay for accomodations, and thinking you actually got a good price...

MeShakesHead.

Seriously, this is BKK, where you can get damn comparables, if not better accomodations for less than half of that - it's not about spending less $$$, it's about doing more with the $$$ you spend.

Why would you pay over $100 for any of those rooms on Sukhumvit when you can get them for $55-$85 on Priceline? Priceline.com people. Start using priceline.

Check out: http://p070.ezboard.com/fpricelineandexpediabiddingfrm262

For the latest prices on hotels being won from Priceline in the BKK area.

Sometimes it can even be better if you have a negotiated corporate rate. I get the JW for $69/night with my company rate. Marriott Rewards points included. No breakfast though. Of course I'm not usually up early enough for breakfast anyway.
