Somethings going up opposite the Manhattan in Soi15 so you may wish to enquire about construction noise should you be interested in booking

Last time I stayed in Manhattan was in April 2009 for one day. Now a days I prefer Swiss Park but they don't have Internet Access. Manhattan has wireless Internet Access but it is not included in the nightly rate. I think I paid around 1800B. I was in BKK Oct-Dec but I rented an apartment for the three months.

Darjelling is much better value than Manhattan.
1220 baht on Tim`s website inclusive of ABF and WiFi internet access.
Conveniently located just off Suk close to Soi 18.

How is Manhattan today?
Is there still construction work going on in the neighbourhood? If so what should I ask for when I arrive in order to get a silent room?
Long time ago I heard that at this hotel it was possible to get ladys to your room, is that service still available or are there in-hotel services (bar, massage, bell boy,...) that you should call/visit in order to get such service?

I have never stayed at Manhattan, so I can't give you specific advice on the hotel. But I can tell you that another Sheraton Hotel is being built directly across the street. It looks like it's only half way done. I stayed at Dream Hotel just down the street, and walked by it every day.
Ask for a room that does not face Soi 15. Hopefully, this might help answer your "noise" questions.

I stayed in Manhattan in Oct 2010. Its guest friendly. They just ask for the girl's ID.
Didnt notice any construction. No noise noted too.
Intend to book it again but seem they have up their price. Now thinking maybe trying another hotel.

They are always raising their price. It is a very popular hotel with the tour groups, both Japanese, and European.
I used to stay there when the price was bt810, and the baht was 40=1USD. Then it was the best deal in that area. They have remodeled a little bit, but nothing has really changed. It is still a very good hotel for first timers that book a double, as it is right between Soi Cowboy, and NANA, with Thermae right around the corner. They never used to say a thing when I brought 3 girls back, and never once bothered me with wanting any of the girls IDs.
The maid on the fifth floor used to remember my name everytime I checked in, and stocked my room with 4 towels without even asking. Because of one very noisy night, after that they always put me in the very isolated corner room on the 5th floor instead of between any rooms again.....lololol.
It's off the street enough so it is pretty quiet, and most taxis from the airport know right where it is. Any first timer should stay there just because of the location, and the ease of getting about.
