In comparison to other hotels (can you list), eg how does it compare, quality or service, value for money, hotel procedure for bg's etc etc.
I really think it needs to offer something over its competitors to offset the distance from Suk (besides the plasma). Do the rooms also have dvd players?
With regard to the layout, maybe the designer had the p2p on top of priority list???? But I must say that I didn't experience ripping cloths off, on the floor because couldn't wait to get to the bed when I was in bkk.......

This is only the 3rd place I've stayed at in suk. Zenith (the worst) I would never stay there again and GP. The GP is ok. I have no real complaints. But PS is much better. Yes there is a DVD player. As for bg procedures, I can't comment yet. My early evening nap ended up being a long sleep. Damn jet lag! So I wasted my first night here.

To get to Q Bar:
As you walk from Suk up Soi 11, turn left before the dead end. There is another bar called Onze (I believe) in the vicinity of Q Bar.

the other club is called bed, sort of same concept as in q-bar but a bit more thai hiso and younger crowd than in q-bar. the president solitaire is a cool location for both places.
i will be staying in a platinum suite when I am arriving in 3 days. may be we see each other the other day. btw, there are two other of my friends (also members on this board, but won't reveal their names) also staying in ps at the moment.

Currently staying in Platinum Suite and typing as we speak. TGF sound asleep after some bedroom gymnastics, I must give her a 10. Anyways, security has never asked her for ID, but as we came in tonight, they asked other TG with Asian man for her ID but no hassles at all for them. Just an observation from someone staying here.

As a rule the "president" chain will never cause problems over "guests" as the are serviced appartments not hotels. You are paying for the appartments to do with as you please - within reason of course!
You will of course get the odd individual who can smell the dough and try to make you part with it - if it happens complain like mad the next day as the last thing they ever wante is a "scene" of any kind.
You can also politely point out that their 5% surcharge for C-cards is illegal - I always do and don't end up paying it but. Then again the owners are friends AND as I said in a previous post Im as tight as a ducks ar*e as well.

That might have been me (asia man) who had my girl asked for ID. I don't mind security asking for ID as long as there is no hassle for the girl.
I plan on hitting the qbar tonight based on the photos on the web. It sounds like there are some freelancers there. Can someone tell me what the ratio is between freelancers vs non freelancers? Just want to know what my odds are. If not good then I'll just stick to cm2.
Also thinking of going to soi33 for the first time. any recommendations?

Sorry - yeah, they will ask for ID but thats for YOUR benefit. My comments were regarding the "girl-friendly" status in the sense that you won't be hassled or charged.
I always tell the girl to take her id to the desk anyway whcih saves any embarrassment in the asking.
Id be a little concerned about a place that didn't to be honest though I know some bros prefer them not to ask.

The first time they asked for my girl's ID but it was done in a very polite and unobtrusive way.
Interestingly enough, after they saw that I was hanging with the same girl the next day, they didnt ask her for ID again, for the next 5 days in fact. That was a nice and unexpected touch.
