OK. I spent 3 weeks at the President Solitaire and would rate it as follows on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the best: The suite, 9. Maid service, 8. Room Service, 9. Quality of the food, 4. Presentation of the food, 7. Guest service, 1. Overall, I loved the suite, however, I didn't get much use of the Jacuzzi. I used it when I was tired, but only one girl showed any interest in it at all. 42" TV, nice, but a bust. Only ONE girl actually turned it on on her own. None of them showed much interest in the music system. The music system should be separate from the DVD player and the 42" TV. I had trouble with the safe, the battery was going dead and one morning I almost didn't get it open. I asked them to change the battery. Yes, sir, we will be there in 5 minutes. 45 minutes later they showed up, played with the safe for a couple of minutes and declared there was nothing wrong with the safe. How about the JBL speakers that didn't work? No answer. A few days later the safe did the same thing as before, and as before, gave me the "batt" read out indicating the battery was dying. This time they didn't even come ot the room, they said the safe was OK. What about the speakers, I asked. No answer. A few days later the safe did the same thing. This time I called and asked to speak to the General Manager. They tried to stall me. I asked again to speak to the General Manager. Finally some guy got on the phone and then came up to the room and looked at the safe. A few hours later they replaced the entire safe and by early the next morning the speakers were connected. They weren't even connected to the music system. Found out that if I didn't escort my girl friends down to the lobby they were told they had to leave by the side, that is, the garbage exit. The food tasted OK to me, but then what do I know? Nothing, except my Thai girl friends would not eat the food. I had to take them elsewhere to eat or they would buy food from the street vendors and cook it in the suite. Oh, and then there was the night the regular girl friend and I were sound a sleep when some nut case started knocking on the door wanting to be let in. Didn't know her. Don't know how she got into the hotel. I had to call security to get rid of her. The girlfriend never believed I didn't know the woman. The suite is a bit large, but as it is only $18.00, more than a regular room, it is well worth the money, but I can't say if I will stay there again.

I could have knocked on your door instead of talking to a closed phone! ************************** Sorry we weren't able to have that drink. I only turn the phone off when getting a massage or when I've retired for the night. Bad timing I guess. Sending a text message, SMS, seems to work best, as the text messages are waiting when you turn the phone back on. Next time. ;-)

Has anyone stayed at The president Solitaire lately? If so would you happen to know the best going rate for the Platinum suite? I once thought I had a good rate there until I read some of the rates other had gotten. Thanks

I've just been in the Premium Suite for 6 days. 2900 + + Worked out at 3414B a night. Friendliest staff I've met in a long time. Even preferred the overall experience to the Shangri La where I was the week previous.
