JS / Mr Alan --- Good intel on that flat rate taxi ride scam, thanks. Sounds familiar, think I got suckered on that during my last stay at the Westin.
JS --- The Sheraton Grande pool (The Sala) is a nice area to hang out and relax, but the pool itself is not that large. They have an L-shaped pool and a separate jacuzzi area. Pool is narrow, basically only good for doing laps or just soaking. Friendly girls and guys working the pool bar and they have a decent breakfast at The Sala too.

Stayed in Westin from Friday till Monday Morning 24th Jan.
Really guestfriendly.
Westin has no WOS - Doorman holds lift and greets me with Goodnight Sil, all other staff look the ohter way.
Thanks to all brothers who contacted me for meeting up, made it only with Sarge, the rest I was unable to as I was NOT in front of my PC all evening long.
Looking forward to team up with you next time

I could see the situation you described happening at the Westin. They don't really have any goons downstairs filtering out people like they do at the Sheraton. That is both good and bad. Good if you don't want psychos bothering you, but a pain if you have a good girl of yours always getting stopped, or security always having to call you to make sure it is ok to have her come to your room.
Personally, I prefer the no security hassles type places, but both the Westin and Sheraton real girl friendly.
I would have retaliated against the white girl noise next door by making them listen to me rail a cute little thai girl..lol

You won't get one of the girls at the Westin Karaoke bar to go back to your room if you are staying at the Westin. They will lose their job. They are all girls that require some time and effort put in before they would consider meeting you after work. I successfully worked my way into that whole network of girls, and have been seeing one of them whenever I go to BKK.

thanks for info, I like the idea of "working your way in", I'll try that next time, which probably will be in March on my way to S'pore. The ladies working in the hotel as very sweet and well groomed (obviously for their jobs), I guess asking for a date over a meal on their day off after a necessaryu amount of friendly talk is a possibility. I expect they may lie though when they all say they have no boyfriend. They know what we like to hear.

Yes I was going to include that in my last post. They tell me that they always say that they do not have a BF, as that is better for the business of guys hanging out and talking. Most of the girls have BF's not necessarily Thai or Farang being the norm.
I have stayed at the Westin a lot over the past year and half, and would normally start my night out with a couple of drinks upstairs prior to always moving out for the night. I guess the non-desparate approach seemed to work. I still see one of the girls, and another one from up there is just waiting for me to stop seeing the other one before we start some things. Once you get some names, PM me and I will give you the inside scoop on the girl.
The girl I see works on the 7th floor now, and that place is a bit too boring. The girls upstairs can hang out and talk with you a lot more, especially when it is not Fri or Sat night.

good one, l'll try this in March. I think the Karaoke thing may have the advantage that they are actually paid to talk to you. The Bar on 7 has a few too many of our kind with similar intents so I suspect the results are slower there.

I have been hopping around at different hotels trying to find a good place to hide for my 3-5 trips to BKK a year.
Will go back sunday again for a week only and this time I decided to try and choose another hotel - just for the test and experience. However when you put together the important issues: 1) location (near everything like BTS and partyareas) 2) Comfort 3) Guestfriendliness 4) nice staff and good service 5) Good room with all necessities and not worn or dirty 6) Good dinners --- well many places have parts of these desires, but very few have it all according to at least my experiences.
So I will stay at Westin Grande again this trip and next time when dear wife is with, perhaps try Banyan Tree?! It is always good to have 2 different locations - to avoid awkward moments! At one time this past holiday when better half joined we went to a popular place of mine. Some staff recognized me and said hello...... wife then looked surprised and asked "have you been here before?" Since it was not a soapie or other naughty place I could just reply that of course I visit many places when there alone on business - no harm done and end of story. Phew! Lucky it was not a small thai person with long hair, almond eyes and a coke bottle figure!
But it sure taught me not to risk any of that in the future! So separate hotels at different occasions! And Westin is really excellent for my needs even if price is perhaps a bit high.
Will try priceline for the first time - and see if I get lucky!

Hi speed internet from every room. If I remember right it cost something like $10USD/24hrs.
I don't do MPs but Soi Cowboy is one block away. And Nana is walking distance.
Westin's a great hotel... Ive stayed there many times and have never had any problems getting girls in. As a matter of fact, their security could be a little better.
Wos? Don't know this one.
