The double room I had was fine, but mine was on the streetside, a bit noisy, where the suite was on the quieter side-soi side (Swiss Park, old Business Inn), don't know about locations for other rooms tho. I happen to like bigger rooms if staying longer in one place, so yes, it would be worth my 500b xtra. But IIRC this price is getting in the President's group range, must check them out later 
I stayed in the area at the time (Swiss Park), and just showed up and checked the rooms, and booked for stay at the end of my trip. Reservation requirements is partly advance payment. In promotion period I noticed they had to turn down a lot of ppl just showing up checking for a room, being fully booked. Maybe better try advance email/phone reservation.

Just thought I'd let every one know that if you book a room past the promotional period they will honor the promotional rates.
I just booked a room for June and they said they'd give me the discount rates due to my early booking.
For those who have stayed there; does the Premier room (not the suite) have a sofa or couch? Or is it just the usual side chair!

Have stayed here and the location is the best part about it. Don't think I would stay again because I disliked the pvc covered mattress which made you feel as though you were sweating at night. Also there was no lock on the inside of the door, and the food in the cafe was not great. Yes it is new and cleanish but there were signs of builders dust still around. Overall not quite worth the money. It's old fashioned but the Manhattan is the best value if you can get for 950 a night.

I understand that to mean that there is no door latch on the inside to stop the cleaners etc from walking in if you have a habit of sleeping in.

Interesting postings - it seems like good location and value. Alas, appears that the the promotional rates have increased.
Does anybody know the difference between the Single Superior (1,200THB) and Double Premier Rooms (1,500THB) - and if so what woud you recommend?

Since you made your reservation in advance (early bird booking). we will offer the special price
daily and weekly the same price.
Single Supreriod @:Bht1500.00 per room/per night (no B'fast)
Double Premier @:Bht.2000.00 per room/per night (no B'fast)
Premier Suite @:Bht.2500.00 per room/per night (no B'fast)

Ebola - I'd get back in touch with them and "clarify" that you understood that the "special rate" was 1200 for the first 2 rooms and 2000 for the Suite.
I booked for 2 nights from 20th May and have confirmation of premier room at 1200 baht incl but excl b'fast.
Can't hurt to give it another try
