You pass immigration, downstairs to baggage claim. After you collect your baggage, you pass through customs (cursory check if at all, just a couple officers in fancy uniform in the middle of the exit passage). You'll pass through some doors (automatically open) to "extrude" you into the " (semi) public" area (typical airport). However, the public is kept away from this exit (thank God), and only 2 choices possible: turn left or right. Turning left, some bank money exchange places; across the aisle, some hotel booking/limo services (ignore the touts for the limos).
Looking into the "distance" (20m), you'll see a mob held back by some waist high barriers... it's here you will look for the signboard with your name on it.
Turning right, there is no mob, but no drivers holding sign boards either.

Thanks 11bravo. I was kinda confus as the last time after going through "Nothing To Declare" I thought the crowd with barrier was to my right. Then again, it is my first so I could be wrong. So again, thanks for the info.

I was assuming you'd be arriving at Terminal 2 (the new (now old) one). Most flights from US arrive there. Been a LONG time since I've flown into Terminal 1. But if they told you to turn left, as soon as you come out of the "one-way" exit doors, turn left. My experience, it's the customer who misses the sign, NOT the hotel not sending a car.
And you are correct.
1st week of paratroop school, they separate the men from the boys.
2nd week, they separate the men from the fools.
3rd week, the fools jump.

Thanks for the info. Actually I'll be coming from Japan so I'm assuming I'll be arriving in Terminal Two. How can one tell which terminal they have arrived in? I'm assuming there are only one crowd control and that's in Terminal Two? Or am I wrong?
Has anyone been picked up by President Solitaire Hotel complementary airport transfer? And how was the experience? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Given that there are 2 separate DEPARTURE areas, 1 for each terminal, I BELIEVE there are 2 separate immigration/customs, 1 for each terminal, but I certainly could be wrong. I don't even know if there is a way to tell which terminal you are in (one closer to the city might not make much sense, but terminal 2 is closer). I wouldn't worry about it.
Myself, riding NW, coming in from Japan on a continuation from the US, have always arrived terminal 2.
No personal experience with that hotel, but of the chain, have taken the Royal President. I'm guessing it will be either a mercedes or a volvo. Like I say, biggest problem is missing the sign in the crowd when you arrive.

Unles you specifically request otherwise, President Solitaire now uses the London Taxi for pick up.
I personally hate the damn things. It is like riding in a truck so I have made arrangements with them to be picked by the Mercedes or Volvo.

kevalso, I didn't know you can make a request to be picked up by certain type of auto. Do they charge extra to be pick up by a Mercedes or Volvo? Do let me know so I can email them for a request.

The charge on my bill was the same as London Taxi. Just let them know you don't want London Taxi and they should send one of the cars.

Interesting. I thought if they quoted you one of their "promotional packages" the cost of the airport pick up was included in the package price?
Given my past experiences with them I wouldn't surprised if they added it to the bottom of the bill.
