Hi guys,
I am going to use for the first time priceline.com and would like to ask you something: when you make the bid you must also give your credit card number, if your bid will be accepted you automatically have the confirmation in that hotel. Once you reach the hotel can you ask to pay by cash and not let them to charge the credit card? I suppose that you must give the credit card number only for the garantee, isn't it?

If you are really confident of low occupancy just contact the hotel direct and make an offer. Last August I was quoted some sill price by Landmark and I offered the $40 - they accepted it.
Mind you it wasn't even worth that much IMHO - most over-rated place in town - only benefit being the short stagger back from Nana and the breakfast was pretty good too.

Once your bid is accepted, your credit card is charged immediately for the whole cost and you have your room. This is a done deal, no refunds, no paying cash at the hotel. Breakfast and any extras can be paid for in cash.

When using Priceline, you provide a credit card for pre-payment. You are billed by priceline when the booking is made.

Yeah, you pay Priceline, they pay the Hotel.
FYI, I just bid $60 per night and got the Sheraton Grande Suk for the first week in May.

Hi guys,
I have a problem!
I am trying to book a room on priceline.com but it looks that it does not work with me. The form to fill with all the information regarding the credit card and address does not combine with my country (I am living in Italy).
There are 3 priceline, one US,one UK,and one Asia.
Maybe who leaves outside these 3 location cannot make any reservation? If it is true it's a big shame for me!!! Thanks for helping me if possible. Enjoy.

I use the Hong Kong one and I live outside of Asia. Just fill out the address part as best as you can. It has been a while since I filled out my first one but I think it took my whole address. I have used it about 20 times and never had a problem.

The US Priceline mentions that you need a US billing address for a credit card. Stick with the HK one.

Any AMEX seems to work fine with Priceline US. My European Visa is always rejected.

Anyone have anymore winning bids for Sukumvit lately? I have been trying at 55 dollars and 60 dollars with no luck for the past 10 days.
I really want to try JW Marriott but it seems like 55 dollars for the JW thru pricelime might be a thing of the past.
