Surferskieur,Swiss Park Hotel was guest friendly when I was there in early July.However,Thai Hotel Discounts (flymetravelhotels@gmail.com) continues to advise that the hotel is guest friendly if you book a double.

Please send a report on the rooms, I booked my brother-in-law a room there in August and when I saw the room it was rather dissapointing in quality.
Green plastic type paint on the furniture and generally a worn-out cheap look.
On the return trip I booked brother-in-lawinto Town lodge and he was impressed.

Mel,no green paint sighted on any of my 5 stays at Swiss Park.IMHO the rooms are well up to 3 star standard.But ask for a room on the pool side on a high floor to avoid possible construction noise,and for a better view.

The location of Town Lodge and the location of Swiss Park is no match.
But true, I've seen a couple of rooms at the Swiss Park and they were past their due date.... like a couple of gals in that area.

Depends how you look at it:
Location: Swiss Park (15 meters from the main road)
Town Lodge is 10-15 minutes walk from the main road. They do have a free Tuk Tuk, but is sometimes not available. Taxis drive by less frequently.
Quality of the rooms: Town Lodge
The rooms in Swiss Park are less in quality (older than Town Lodge) but still acceptable.
Size of the rooms: Swiss Park
The rooms in Town Lodge can be compared with shoeboxes
Swimming Pool: Swiss Park
Don't even look for one at the Town Lodge
Breakfast: Swiss Park
The breakfast at Town Lodge is sparse. I remember the sign which explains how to make your own.
Girl Friendly: No problems at Town Lodge
Swiss Park, book a double.
Price: Around the same.
In my view the Swiss Park wins from the Town Lodge. The Swiss Park is a 'real' hotel with plenty of staff. Town Lodge is more of a 'bed and breakfast'.
