the breakfast there is pretty good... try the boiled rice w/pork juk w.some hot pepper sprinkled on top... the fish is good too, & they have omelets to order on the patio by the pool.

The time I stayed there, there was an arab presence but they were mostly couples and families. They go about their business and you go about yours. No problem.

there were a few arabs when I was there, but not so many that you'd think you were in baghdad or anything like that... I also noticed several eastern european couples, & a few english speaking families (couldn't figure out if they were canadian or from the US)... several mixed couples too (TG wives or gf's)... the hotel's pretty accomodating to your TG's I noticed, which I didn't sense in the hotel I stayed at in phuket.

The last few times I stayed there, there were not so many arabs. But I've stayed there in the past where 90% of the rooms were full of arabs. It's definitely a hotel of choice for arabs. Be careful of staying there during arabic holiday season. They don't really bother you, but All those women dressed in those black scary monster outfits is downright depressing.

I just returned from my trip to LOS and did stay in the MG the last three nights. I was impressed at what they offered for the price. I've stayed up the street in the JW several times, and didn't really notice much difference in the rooms. There was an Arab presence, but as was noted they kept to themselves. Except for the couple next door who decided to argue and yell at each other until 0200, when I had an early morning flight, but that could have been anyone. I'll defininately try the MG again next trip.
