Thanks for your quick response RTB. I have more questions. (BTW I'm not trying to be inflammatory here) Are there any non-smoking rooms? Or do they have 'essence du ashtray.' I've never been to Bangkok. How far away from all the main tourist attractions in the city is the Lodge? Like 20-30 minutes in a Taxi? Generally speaking of course. Or are you way aways? Thanks for your help!

we do have no smoking rooms. I never smelled smoke in any of the rooms.

Great Little Hotel to play and stay
Big plus for you Jimmy RTB's can set you straight where to go etc.. as it's your first time in Thailand

If Jimmy likes the  then we all know RTB and his bar are just awesome....hell, RTB got me the hook up at the after hours clubs on a couple occasions while staying there.......
Townlodge is a quality value...and, I also have nothing to with the hotel...
As far as TL's rooms and overall service go  and RTB will take care of any BTF bro's (as long as the bald, swiss guy is in town during your stay lol!)

JJ, Good choice BKK over P.I., I was in your shoes about 8 yrs ago thinking it was important that English was spoken, I wouldn't call it a waste but I wish the first two trips to Asia I made (P.I.) would have been to LOS
I assure you when you turn the corner and see the neon and girls on Soi Cowboy for the first time you'll think you've died and gone to heaven
I did everything on my own and wouldn't trade my learning experiences from that approach, but if someone on the forum offers help when your there you'll move faster on the learning curve

Ask RTB for those exact dates, have not yet stayed at TL, more of a Pattaya guy, just got back, have mailed 'Curly', let him take of you, maybe he can get that 3rd girl on his avatar to marry you
My next trip will be to The Big Smoke, I dearly miss Soi Cowboy and the world famous Eden Club
