Is there any updates on hotels in suk area with high speed internet connection in room ? I know about Solitaire but not so satisfied with my last stay there.

Very nice value to be had there. There was a post about it this week on the Nanaplaza forum. Mind you, it's not quite as upscale as the Solitarem is, but perhaps that'll afford you some more ST's and leave a bit of change in your pocket, too.

The Marriott has great high speed Internet access, but it comes at a cost of 600 baht/24 hours. Great connection though.

The Marriott broadband is not that great, it's just over 200k per sec.

True about Marriot, though I find it a bit odd they also offer free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
Come to think of it Meritus Suites, in the State Tower building offers a free high speed in-room. But it's in Silom area.

Well the reason for not so happy with last stay at solitaire is that I had agree on a price via mail before I come there and they try to charge me a lot more, I also had a deal to get the room ( platinum suite ) early morning because my flight from scandinavia arrive in bkk
6 morning and room was not ready when arrive at hotel
they also promise free airport pickup and I mail them arrivaltime, got it confirmed but no car. when arrive they
offer me an other room but I wanted the platinum suite because of the jacuzzi so I finally got it late in the evening. the room was great and they was also very girl friendly,nothing to say about that but the breakfast was not much to say good about. I have earlier used Grand President a lot and im more happy with their servise than solitaire

True, maybe Marriott are happy for non guests to use the lobby Wifi for free but want 650 baht per night from guests for not great in room internet.

Just want to add the comment that I was very satiesfied with the room layout at PS.Had my best time in LOS ever with 3 girls from beergarden soi 7 togheter first in the jaccuzi and after in the bed with a good blue movie on the 42 inch TV
