Has anyone ever stayed at the LEELA INN on Suhkumvit Soi 3? I'm looking for a guest friendly hotel in the 1000 - 1200 Baht range, large bed, good AC, decent toilet. Other amenitites are nice but not neceesary. Also, with the Skytrain & Subway, I would be interested to get away from the main SUHKUMVIT area. It's getting boring & I speak decent Thai. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sorry. I didn't realize it was so difficult to post 2 questions at the same time. 1) LEELA INN: anyone know about this hotel? 2) AWAY FROM SUHKUMVIT: Nowadays with the Skytrain & Subway, it is more feasible to get away from the main Suhkumvit area. Speaking Thai is not a problem. Any sugesstions?

Leela Inn: Right across the corner where I live. Never stayed there. But the restaurant looks nice, so I guess the rooms are up to par too. They have a small beer garden outside. Close to Petchburi Road on one side and Suk on the other. Try Saphan Kwai... reachable by BTS.
