We have discussed many times about guest-friendly hotels here in forum. Now I'll arrange some hotels by the opinions until now.
1. Absolutely guest-friendly hotels(There seems to be no opinion that says it's not guest friendly.)
JW Marriott, Sheraton Grand, Majestic Suites, Grand President, Nana, Grand Diamond, Siam Beverly, Tarntawan Place, Novotel Lotus
2. Unreliable guest-friendly hotels (They are reported in this site or mentioned as guest-friendly, but some friends say just the reverse.)
Baiyoke Sky, Windsor Suite, Amari Atrium, Shangrila, Manhattan, Ambassador, Merchant Court, Landmark, Tai Pan
3. Not guest-friendly hotels (Most people say that it's not guest-friendly)
Amari Boulevard, Novotel Siam Square, Pathumwan Princess, Emerald, Fortune, Rembrandt, Radisson
I hope somebody to confirm the truth about these hotels(especially about 2nd group hotels). Latest information or experience will be very helpful. ~~~~~ Have a nice day !

Interesting and informative list. I would like to mention that The Landmark has always been guest friendly for me and my friends. We have never had any problems. They will ask for the guests I.D card, but I feel that is more for our security. But, a guest has never been denied access to my room.

I stayed at Tai-Pan hotel earlier this year. Absolutley no problems there with guests. Its on soi 23 and very convenient for soi cowboy.
Thought I would try Manhattan next week and will post report.

Stayed many times at Narai Hotel on Silom road. You can walk to Patpong from there and not bad for Skytrain.
They have live music everynight and bar staff where always very friendly and curious about who I would be Bringing back each night. No guest problems. They have in hotel massage which offers extras, but quality is sometimes in question.

I have experienced the Amari Atrium's hassle first hand. They suck big time. Eventhough I booked on the internet single, the rates for double are the same. Yet, when I walked in with a female friend, who is not a working female they charged me for her to come up to the room and watch the NFL playoffs. I explained that she was not a working female and not spending the night and only wanted to watch TV. The response I got was to sit in the 24 hour cafe and talk. The unprofessional attitude and hassles were coming from the hotel night manager. The next day I went downstairs to complain and the front desk did not seem that surprised. They appologized and changed my room from single to double, hense no more charges. But the security can also be a pain at times patroling the elevators like it is Fort Nox!! I would suggest staying elsewhere.
A friend stayed at a nice place that was guest friendly called the ROYAL PRESIDENT service apartments on Sukhumvit Soi 15.
My personal favorite besides the Landmark hotel is the Novotel Lotus. They are guest friendly and very close to the sky train, as well as having a lot of action happening right infront of the hotel!! ha ha ha!!

Hello to the brothers. Just now getting over my LOS hangover and now looking forward to the next trip. Does anyone else get massive withdrawl symptoms after a visit to paradise or is it just me?
Hotels... I always stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan and have had no problems. Every once in a while if it's late a night the guy at the elevator might stop and check the girls ID real quick, give me a wink, and off I go. You pay a lot for this hotel ( I typically stay on the club level) and I expect for what I pay that the hotel give me what I want. Any others have experience with the Hyatt?
Again, I've had 100% perfect track record.... no hassles

- I often book friends at the Ambassador, as they like the location, and you get a good weekly rate of around 8000bt for the good tower wing rooms, - again, make sure you state a double room, - some night managers / porters will hassle you if they think there may be an earn in it for them, - if some guy looks officious, just metion "my wife come later ' - and no hassles, - not mentioned, but also great locale and good price, no hassles, are the City Lodge Hotels on sois 9 and 19, soi 9 is very handy, and again, a good weekly rate.

Let me mention again the TAWANA RAMADA Hotel next to Patpong - no problems ever occured although I forgot to tip the porter. Even walking in with 2 or 3 TGs in company was perfectly alright. And the girls have no problem to leave and come back in again without me - 100 p.c. perfect!
By the way, as O.E.J. mentions a really posh hotel: I once stayed in the ORIENTAL for a conference and made sure to keep some of their matches - once Bargirls get too pushy, you just produce these matches when they ask where you stay and off they are! So I understand that the ORIENTAL would be "unfriendly" - which I did not try out as there were too many people attending that conference who knew me as a married man!
