As planning for a BKK trip soon, need some information about budget hotel within the above room rates and TG freely without any joiner fee.
Prefer some where around Shukumvit area whereby within a walking distance froim BTS and nite entertaiment areas.
Looking forward for some recommendation.

Nana Tai end of soi 4 is OK.
Rooms are a good size. Includes a coffe table, sofa, large bed, full size fridge, and TV. Think they were apartments converted to a Hotel.
About 900 baht but can talk them down to 850 if staying awhile. Rooms larger then Dynesty, Majestic, or Honey.
Little better then the Honey Hotel. No idea about Crown or Mike as have not seen the rooms. Honey is a bit closer to Suk then Nana Tai but rooms smaller.
They have a free tuc tuc to Suk or about a 10 minute walk.
I have stayed there a few times no complaints for the price.

The length of time you are going to be here for will make a big differance to the price.
If you are here long enough there are loads of good places that offer good deals for 1 month stay onwards etc.

agree on nana tai. hard to get more quality for the price.
soi1 golden palace around thb 750 has a nice swimming pool, the rooms are a little old though. no problem with girls, near the action.
my no.2 after nana tai at the end of soi4.

Stayed at Nana Tai Mansion for 1 month Oct/Nov 04. Cost for month inc water/elec was 566 baht per day, 17000 b per month. Did not book, just a walk up from the street.
Agree with above, room sizes great, girl friendly and ask for ID and give you a call when they present themselves at reception on the way out.
I really liked the place, good pool, has MP, average looks. Food OK. If only they had the elec safes in the rooms it would be ideal.
Staff friendly but found if you leave 30-50 baht on pillow for cleaning lady, she leaves more bottled water than you can poke a stick at. Always did a great job of cleaning room.
Found also that if you shout the staff that are working at reception and doorman ice-creams or soft drinks now and again, they go out of their way to help you. May cost you 300-500 bht but it was worth it.
Anyway that is my pennies worth.
